Idioms Investigation (2023-24)
Idioms are unique cultural expressions that color our language. With this body of work I wanted to explore common phrases in our cultural jargon through an artistic lens, examining our relation to them through their function in our daily experiences.
Thus, this series visualizes my interpretation of various idioms ranging from my late grandfather likening his memory to a goldfish throughout his fight with Alzheimers disease, to certain religious associations shaped by a family history of gambling addiction.
